A Happy New Year!!

Wishing you a very happy new year!
This is my dog, Mocha. This is the year of dog in Chinese calender. We, Japanese, send new year cards, like a chirstmas card in western culture.

We, our family, go to both Shinto shrine and Buddhism temple on a new year day and eat Osechi-Ryori(new year day's meal which has a celebrative meaning on each dish). We also drink Otoso(spiced Sake). Some people wear Kimono(japanese traditional costume).

I ate too much last two days...and tomorrow I am havging another party...I am so scared to know how much I gained...

Can you guess what these are made of??

These are made by a quite ordinary commodity. It might have been in your hands this morning! Can you guess what it is??

Answer: Newspaper

Did you get the right answer? Yes, these are made by newspapers. My mother's friend told her how to make these corsage (and my mother asked me to make ones for her...) The process itself is quite simple!

An excellent idea for a hand-made christmas present!??
